Co-operative
games More and more people find out that they would like to play together instead of against each other. In co-operative games, the players experience the power of teamwork. All players have the same goal that they can reach by making creative and strategic choices together. There are no opponents; the game itself creates the challenge. The players try to win, but sometimes they all lose! As opposed to the more common 'competitive games', these games encourage the players to pull together, to communicate clearly and to help each other. Playing a co-operative game is a pleasant and constructive experience. Authors and artists Jim Deacove of Family Pastimes has had more than 30 years of experience in developing co-operative games. 11 of his games are published by Sunny Games. The other 88 are imported from Canada. Jouke Korf is a young Dutch games author. He designs strategic games of a unique quality. Sunny Games has now released two of his games: 'Stop de Stropers' (Pinch the Poachers, 2008) and 'Antarctica' (2011). Since 2011, Tamara Havik is Sunny Games' home illustrator. Her first assignment was a real masterpiece: 'Antarctica' (2011). Anne Mijke van Harten of Earthgames and Steven developed several co-operative games, one of which is the 'Kracht van 8 kaartspel' (2005). More information can be found under 'educational'. |
